Should have known better than to use the word "proprietary" on a linux
mailing list (d'oh). Just checked my dictionary and, sure enough, it didn't
quite mean what I'd always thought it meant. I should have said that the
format was *specific* to the program that wrote it - e.g. the problem that
Conor is having.
