[ILUG] Konqueror problem

I've just comae across what appears to be a HUGE problem in Konqueror - on
this box (SuSE 7.3, KDE 2.2.1, Konqueror 2.2.1) Konqueror hangs up hard when
you access a site which requires authentication via a standard pop-up
username/password box. Not alone does it kill the konq window in which
you've tried to access the offending site, but all other open konq windows
freeze up too. Surely a biggie like that can't have escaped into the wild ?
Anyone else able to confirm/deny this ?

P.S. In case it's somehow site specific, two pages which show the problem 
are www.ntv.de/stats and www.inpho.ie/admin - these two are on different
physical servers with different Apache versions.
