My advfice, get it working on Intel Linux, build the stubs for the
drivers, use efence and mcheck and you'll probably get the job done
quicker... we develop for embedded stuff (eCos) and we've found debugging
on a stubbed system much better than trying on the embedded..
I would check though if the PPC system glibc, has support for mtrace, if
not you might try making it from scratch on the PPC or cross-compile it
from your Intel PC ... then mtrace is a good bet ..
Purify and Insure__ are no use for cross-compiled systems as far as I
remember ... unless you have ther stubs they would be useless in this
situation and Purify has no Linux support (why I'll never figure out)...
and if you have the stubs careful application of Elertric fence and mcheck
do nearly the same job ..
Dave.
