I would never buy from there for a different reason. An ex-mate of mine
bought a trailing edge technology pc from his boss to let his girl play a
few games. He installed a mouse with a ps2/serial convertor from pc world.
Suddenly it was dead. He brought it over to me as a hardware guy. I found the
same little board did keyboard, and comms ports, and was blown. Spares were
not an option. Investigation revealed the ps2/serial adapter sold him by pc
world was faulty. They acknowledged this as faulty, but refused to accept
liability for what was blown by the faulty kit. They could have sorted him
out with £100 - it wasn't a decent box, or even offered him another
'downgrade' . They wouldn't give him the steam off their proverbial
(expletive deleted).
