Crontab can also do it. This is much better for ordinary users, because
they don't need root access to set it up. Instead of using the normal 6
(7?) field time specifier, just use @reboot. For example:
Run 'crontab -e' to edit your crontab.
"Oh look, it's the Pigeon of Love."
