on DNS on that machine, define stub zones for company.loc, master ->
the company.loc NS.

(i presume the problem is that company.loc is not resolvable via the
internet/NS listed in resolv.conf. stub zones are useful as a way of
"hinting"  to named what NSs it should use for arbitrary zones.)
