[ILUG] Recommended Desktop Distros?

Being a French fella, i had to give you my opinion on Mandrake (mostly
8.2 and a bit about 9.0 that i don't know well).

Mandrake was cloned from RedHat back in the old days, then they begun to
add extra functionnalities to it. It is now a very good distribution
with loads of good things in it. Then also tend to provide a large set
of applications with you go for the powerpack which can be very nice for
a end user. 

I think Mandrake has got more wizards and tools which will appeal to the
end user such as the scanner wizard or the samba configurator. 

They've come a long way and they are still more advanced on the desktop
side than RedHat.
