[ILUG] Integrating wget with windows desktop

Hi all

I use windows on my desktop, but with a few putty sessions usually open
to our various servers.  When I want to download something I copy the
download link and alt-tab into one of my putty sessions and use wget
from there to download it.  I have been wondering for a while if there
is maybe a way of automating this.  The same way that gozilla and its
ilk grab download clicks from IE and Netscape, I thought I could grab
them and fire them off to wget on my preferred server.

I have already figured out most of the mechanics of doing this on the
back of a fag packet but before I waste time implementing it, does
anyone know of something out there that does this, or anything like it
that I can pinch some source from?
