thank god. i was getting worried.
yes, what you want to use is screen. screen has oodles of neat features,
i highly recommend using it. the one major gotcha is that usually C-a is
the prefix key to all of screen's commands. this is an issue for emacs
users or for people using emacs bindings in their shell (99.9% of us).
to get a C-a to a shell in a screen session, type C-a a.
and please, please don't use vnc. that's just plain silly. for gui apps,
ok; but otherwise, no.
