Er, not exactly true as I once discovered.

The ISDN TA's I have used will still dial using 56k analog if you use ATDT
to dial. However, if you use ATDN then they will make an ISDN call. Useful
to remember.

As always, RTFM for the modem you are using. Most of them will specify the
command codes, or have a web page with the relevant codes.

<pedantic>
The computer talks to the TA as if it were a standard modem. But ISDN is
still a form of modulation/demodulation. Just at a higher frequency than
most phone connections can handle.
