The problem is that I'm now _required_ to use this version of SuSE ... so
there I don't have a choice :(

I'd happily do that if I could get a boot-disk that would allow me to
root=/dev/sda2 (Oh yeah ... it's scsi based !) to a reiserfs ...

2.4.19.x preferably, since that's what SuSE are using !
