some friends of mine who both suffer from rsi are doing
their best to bring xvoice along.  you can check it out at
http://xvoice.sourceforge.net/ .  if you've ever wanted a cool project
to work on but didn't know what to play with, this might be an excellent
project to check out.

for voice recognition xvoice uses ibm's viavoice.  it used to be free,
but now it isn't.  there is work underway to get it to use sphynx for
voice processing.  go check out the xvoice web page for more info.
