[ILUG] Desktop from scratch?

If you allow me, i went through the LFS 4.0 in order to test it as GCC
3.2 was a feature i couldn't miss being an Athlon owner. All went fine
following their book. I then tried to compile QT 3.0.5 which i wanted to
use with KDE 3.1 beta2 (which i got successfully compiled under mdk 8.2
using GCC 3.2) and it just failed, i even tried the minimal ./configure
without all the shiny options and it still failed.

So, my request is, if you ever manage to compile it, let me know :)
