[ILUG] possibly a silly idea...

Does anyone remember the little stripy apple bumper stickers that used to be
so ubiquitous?
Let's not get hung up on whether the people who see them are "the targeted
audience" or not - as far as I'm concerned the atrget audience is:
(anyone who doesn't have a computer yet, so might choose Linux)
+ (anyone who has a computer and doesn't run linux yet)
+ (anyone who runs linux and doesn't know about ILUG yet)
+ (anyone who runs linux, knows about ILUG but hasn't subscribed yet)
i.e the only non-target audience is the members of ILUG!
As for the stickers, let's keep the message simple, e.g. like a penguin
holding a pint of Guinness, with the slogan "ILUG for Linux" & maybe a
little shamrock for the dot over the I in ILUG.

Hi All,
As a relative newcomer, I'd say the ILUG isn't that difficult to find.
I was looking around for what Linux resources are available and came
across it easily.
A bumper sticker will have a load of people wondering "WTF is ILUG" (and
generally most people who come by will then say "WTF is Linux" anyway).
A bumper sticker will reach many people, very few of which will be the
targeted audience.
I don't know how much work anyone has put in to ensuring that it hits
well on search engines, etc. but I think this would be a better use of
time (& also liking from other Linux specific sites).
Cheers,
Dermot.
