Just to add to your broadband jealousy (those of you that live in 
Eircomland) have a look at this Reuters report:

As almost an aside it includes this:

"The British government has made a major political issue out of 
broadband, having set its sights on world leadership in a communications 
technology credited with boosting economic productivity and fostering 
entrepreneurial development. But a Nielsen/NetRatings report on Monday 
said Britain lagged all its European peers in terms of broadband usage."

Don't we count as Europe any more?
