Replying to myself I know but ....

some more research (and memory racking) and I came up with

UK   VNC (England) and Freenet (Scotland) w/ Alan Cox (Wales) !
France   Frozen Bubble
Ireland   wv

Still haven't come up with much though!   Leaving now so hopefully some 
lovely ILUGgers will have put some ideas in my inbox when I return or 
else I think I'll scrap the idea!
