i think it's a good idea - it hits home the idea that it is a
collaboration of people around the globe who are putting time and effort
into what we sum up as "linux."

we can't really go around every day saying the names of all the people
and groups who contribute, but i think this a good time to underscore
that there are euopeans contributing to free software.  perhaps some
politicians will notice - and keep us in mind when making certain
decisions.

the squeaky wheel gets the legislation...
