It's strictly fakeraid, for one thing. (But pretty cheap, neh?) At its
price, you could buy one just to see if it sucks, and use the Linux md
driver so you're not trapped into buying a second one if the first one
fails.
There's late-2.4.x kernel support for the underlying HPT374 chipset.
