Call me cynical, but, didn't M$ introduce the concept of TCO, sometime areound
about summer of 2001, when they started their campaign to undermine Linux,
having failed to make 'doze cost anything even vaugely close to Linux distro
(x) to produce? Alot like the failed attempts to make the base install anywhere
near as small as FreeBSD, never mind uClinux?

I seem to remember a VB guy who foamed at the mouth incrementally, presenting
me with pamphlet from M$, which had discs inside of it ... colourful disks I'll
admit... where the pamphlet banged on about TCO, and tried to get me to install
this quote "great replacement for Apache", called IIS. Really, this anti Open
source pamphlet came in some sort of packaged box set, with 2k server, SQL
2000, etc

TCO is a buzzword M$ has hijacked, since the term ZAW (Zero Administration for
Windows), seemed to drown during all those bad Nimda & Code Red thingys.
