Well, I'm _fairly_ sure this is the one I have (I use the UTV standard usb
modem) and to be honest it has worked fine with 2.4.22, 2.4.24 & 2.6.2. I
did ugrade to 2.6.3 recently and this caused issues. I've yet to get
around to chasing it up but it'd work for a while and then it'd disconnect
and the kernel would disable the IRQ the device was on. A reboot was
required to get it up again. So I downgraded to 2.6.2 and it's fine again.
I haven't gotten around to working on this yet. If anyone else has seen
this I'd appreciate any info.
I've had very little reason to complain about the hardware at all as the
above is pretty clearly a driver/kernel issue. UTV disconnect me from time
to time (maybe once every couple of days) but I don't think it's the modem
and it reconnects again a minute later.
Have never tried it in windows.

I daresay the ethernet modems are better, handier etc. but if you're being
given the USB one anyway and you're doing this on a budget, the Zyxel I
have is fine.
