Yep, it has done for a while, it uses a GTK runtime.  I once installed
it on a friend's PC to show him how much better it was than the plethora
of other IM apps he was using.

Problem was, the GTK runtime didn't install correctly first time and I
had to reinstall it to get gaim working.  He said "I thought this was
supposed to be more stable than Windows programs.".  Later I pointed out
that once we had it installed it was rock solid, _especially_ compared
to his MS Messenger which was crashing all over the place at the time.

His response?  "Yeah, but... that's Microsoft."
