hmmm, ~7 months ago on a Windows 2000 box gimp crashed constantly for
me. I've also had an off-list reply saying that a 2-weeks-ago gimp
installation is always crashing. I'll take another look when then time
comes...
I'm only going to include maybe 4-6 apps on the CD. It's not going to
be a "toolbox", it'll just be a few classy apps to showcase Free
Software, so I only want to include apps that mop the floor with their
MS rivals.
I also want to burn some Morphix or Knoppix+freedom CD's for people that
want more. (AFAIK the small unFree parts of Morphix have been factored
out into a seperate module which can be excluded. More info about the
Knoppix+freedom project is at: http://live-gnu-linux.infodrom.org/ )
A more tech inclusive CD with things like perl, php, python, MySQL,
Apache, emacs, blender, etc. would be beyond my resources, but I'll
include a link to the OpenCD and gnuwin sites, and some others.
(thanks to everyone for the on- and off-list pointers.)
