Do you mean that there is a firmware update for the ESM board
that let's me change what's on the LCD display?  Or do you mean
that you need to re-flash the ESM board and reboot to change
what's on the display?

If it makes it any clearer, I'd like to display load average and
the like on the little 5x2 LCD.  I was hoping that it would be
accessible through an I2C bus, or something.
