[ILUG] slow response from kde apps

I've seen botched apt-get upgrades for KDE (in particular).  As
previously stated, remove all of KDE and use the KDE.org provided debs. 
Should run fine then.  BTW: you won't loose any of your configuration
data as (unlike windoze) per-user application configuration data is
stored separately from system data (in your $HOMEDIR).
