[ILUG] procmail strangeness

This is really wierd ( well I think so anyhow ).

I have got a little .procmailrc in my home directory

It contains the following.

:0
*.*ILUG.*
$HOME/Maildir/.ILUG/

:0
*.*AFICK.*
$HOME/Maildir/.AFICK/

Now everything works normally if an email comes into the system from 
outside .

But if I send an email from the command line like so ....

echo "test email" | mail username -s "[AFICK] please ignore"

The message gets sent into my ( ie the senders ) AFICK folder .....

This seems a little bizare... Have I found some strange procmail bug ?
