In Germany maybe... no talking about how SCO 0wnz Unix.

In Ireland maybe too, if it was exclusively a court based decision, since we 
have reasonably independant courts.

However if you got John Q Random politico involved, or worse yet, a media 
outlet, you'd find the that the "technology experts", "technology 
commentators", "security experts" and "computer training experts" [1], dug up 
persumably from the Golden pages would be advocates of rounding up those Pinko 
Linux virii writes, who have no respect for decent hard working industry 
stilfing insecure bloatware and the companies which produce it.

Yup, once a politico or "technical commentator" got involved you could be 
assured that next thing you know, sitting at a desk with a computer had been 
patented in the Republic.... oh and Minister(x) had, had Windows 2003 dedicated 
XML automagic trusted (tm) secure cluster installed in his daughters living 
room... so her first book would gross 12 million instead of just 10.
