Err.

That's down to your editor squire.

I check stuff in/out of cvs and vim the only true editor, automagically 
recognises a file as being of type dos if it is and preserves the format.

So your editor is probably saving off the file as Unix as opposed to DOS, just 
tell it not to do that and you should be fine.
