Hi,

Don't give up yet, we can waste lots of energy trying to regain these
terms :-)
The way to win this slowly this battle is to slowly say, 'Hacker as in
the classic term'. Then make the point, get someone to question you and
over throw the current use of the word. Remember both the words Hacker
and Quiz are recent introductions to the language, and accepted use can
change over time.

Oh did I forget to say there is the fun one can have pointing out that
the person who introduced that word in the unwanted format was ehh
wrong.
