Frank,
You are in a spot of bother.
Read about the 'fsck command' before you start, use your favorite search
engine.
The command that you are looking for at the root prompt is:
fsck -y
Warning this may brake your data.
The success of the operation really depends as to what exactly the drive
was doing when the power went.
The other route costs too much money :-/
You may get away with it.
