well....
you should know how to discover a problem
(or discover what the real problems are),
devise possible solutions,
decide on the solution(s),
devise how the solutiom(s) will be tested,
explain/document the proposed solution(s) and tests,
implement (code and debug) the solution,
test it,
correct the documentation,
and realize this is a loop which repeats multiple times
( and also realize all of the terms used, e.g. “discover‟,
“devise‟, and so on, are deliberately quite fuzzy and can
legitimately be interpreted in many different ways ).
after that, the issue of implementation languages (plural)
is a triviality. typically, by the time you have worked out
what it is you are going to do, the languages have decided
themselves.
the best method of learning is with a mentor,
so it might be that yer first problem is to find one.
cheers!
