Who are these mysterious IDE people? Don't nearly all of the hard 
disk manufacturers sell both SCSI, IDE and SATA interface disks? And 
warranties will differ across different disks.

They offer sata/ide disks with 3 year warranties. Same warranty span
as you get when you buy a Compaq^WHP Proliant, iirc.
