Doesn't need much for basic stuff. If you're going to run lots of mail
filters (like spamassassin) and have lots of large attachments, you may 
want to go bigger. Whatever the basic Dell server box is will do this
without trying (though give it a reasonable about of RAM..)

Depends on the project IMO. If it can be parallelised, then a multi
processor box, or a couple and distcc. If not, then the faster one you
can afford.

Say a Dual 3G Xeon with enough RAM to work.

Might as well ask Oracle.. If it was mysql it'd run on a 286, but oracle
will have a better idea of how big you need for their lump of code.
