[ILUG] What issues are there with dropping a 2.6 kernel into a 2.4 system?

There will be lots of issues with glibc,modutils, etc.
Also there would be little niggles with procps, psutils etc.
The best bet is to use redhat supplied RPMs,
so update to the latest updates available for RH8
and then these are probably the best?
