[ILUG] pxelinux + Grey screen with large X cursor

I'm not familar with Mandrake, it may start its display manager from
one of the init scripts in /etc/init.d/ check if there is anything there
and that its configured to start in your default runlevel...

On the other hand you could just add a like like the above to the inittab,
specify a specific DM if Mandrake doesn't use the prefdm thing....

    x:5:respawn:/usr/X11R6/bin/xdm -nodaemon 

Or something...
