It's just be pointed out to me as regards Sun's contributions to Gnome and Open 
Office.

True enough, Sun has made contributions there. However, it did recently decline 
to Open Source Java, and it is my understanding that the Java Desktop 
environment uses propiatery addons, which is of course perhaps something that 
will work out for Sun, but, in the main, backs up my point, that between 
Solaris, Java, the Java Desktop environment and probably other code bases, Sun, 
generally has a large stake in non-Open Source software... so it's hardly 
surprising that, that Eduardo Gutentag, isn't advocating Open Source software 
in the whole.
