There are a lot of competent Windoze "users" out there whom cannot or
don't want/care/desire to install an OS.

Also a major problem with Linux is getting drivers for the various
components in the machine, either the video, soundcard, modem or some
weird-ass network card. At least with a pre-install OS, this is "less"
of a problem.

Or course I got two DELL pc's with Linux pre-installed. Ran Up2Date and
got a kernel update with killed the sound card. DELL seems to have
switched to different drivers and Up2Date don't know/care...
