Just to take attention away from the usual license flamewarring ;),
I have a GNOME question.
I'm a KDE user normally (switched a couple of years ago), but of course I
run a few GNOME apps on my KDE desktop. In particular, I use "straw" as
an RSS reader; it's great.
Except for one thing -- the fonts are too small. When I run
gnome-control-center, there's one control center applet for font sizes,
and it only offers the ability to set one font size -- the "application
font size".
However, I want to be able to have small fonts for the menu entries,
button labels, and other widgets, but larger sizes for the readable
HtmlView area -- in other words, different font sizes depending on whether
I *want* to read the font or not ;)
as far as I can see, this isn't possible to configure through
gnome-control-center, or gnome-font-properties. Is there a
registry^Wgconf setting to control this? I opened up
regedit^Wgconf-editor, but couldn't spot anything.
I seem to recall hearing that there was a gnome-control-center applet for
HtmlView, but there's no sign of that. Is there an add-on package I'm
missing?
I'm using Debian unstable, which claims to be GNOME 2.6.1 as far as I can
see. I've tried blowing away ~/.gnome* just for the the sake of it, too.
Best of all, the link to the GNOME User's Guide on
http://www.gnome.org/learn/ is a 404 ;)
Finally -- is anyone aware of a hack to allow KDE's kicker to accept gnome
applets in a systray?
