I use VNC myself to connect to my home machine. X over SSH, though,
seems to give me trouble - it works fine for simple applications, but
anything which creates child windows gives me trouble. Also, X piped
through multiple SSH terminals (for accessing computers deep in a
network, for example) just doesn't work for me.
In short, VNC may be slow, but it's reliable.
Can't wait for the FreeNX project to release some test software!
