I've experienced similar behaviour with a really, really nasty D-Link
DSL-504T router, which also gets IPv4 DNS lookups completely wrong for
hosts with v6 records (returning the first four octets of the v6 IP as
the v4 IP), and as if that wasn't enough, silently drops any packets
with TOS bits set, too! This thing has been driving me demented for the
past several months; if it were mine I'd bin it and replace it with
something that works asap, but sadly, it's not up to me.
