[ILUG] Multiple session multiplexors

There's been much heat (and even a little light) here lately about the
use of screen within one session in konsole or gnometerminal. It was
explained to the chattering masses that there are indeed very valid
reasons for using two different kinds of session multiplexors inside one
another like this.
I am one very happy user of screen inside konsole. And I became even
happier today, when I noticed that when I use screen on a remote RH9
box, it changes the konsole window title as I change through screens -
it prepends [screen # $TITLE] to the contents of the window title
without screen.
This is as nifty as a very nifty thing, but how does it do it ? It's
screen 3.09 and I've used later versions of screen elsewhere and they
don't do it. I HAVE RTFM but didn't see anything there about it - only
mention of the standard screen title (C-a A). This is a really useful
feature as the only disadvantage of screen is that while you can use
screen titles to help you not get lost, they're not normally visible and
this feature solves that. So, I'd love to have it everywhere I use
screen.
