i suspect the linux one is cipe-based.  the ms one is ptpp based i
suspect.  linux supports both.

cipe is udp based, dunno about ptpp.  your cipe client either needs a
real ip address, or you need a router that will rewrite udp packets.
but i think alinux router would work better.
