ok, i'm curious if anyone here has tried using free software programs to
model their house in order to do changes to it (like add an extension
or convert an attic, etc). i'm not looking for full-on architecture
drawings, but something to give an archetect an idea of what i want to
do in order for them to draw up plans.

on windows there are programs like 3d home designer. i've never used
them, but they give you a nice interface for drawing up plans and
and doing walkthroughs of a planned design.

i was thinking something like povray might work though it would be a lot
of work. any other suggestions?

kevin
