Using exchange? No, there's no way.

Well, that's tough then.

There is at least one other person on this list who's using
Echange/LookOut and uses OOO's, yet they do _not_ force every poster
to the list to put up with continious streams of email turds because
of them.

You can suspend your subscription.

If you're forced to use an email system which can not be told to
ignore Precedence bulk/list email for OOOs then that is what you
_have_ to do.

Just cause you _must_ use a retarded email system does not mean you
should impose the stupidies of that system upon every poster to every
list you are subscribed to.

Your email system and whatever inadequacies it has is _your_ problem.

Choices in this case:

- if the OOO reply handler is dumb, dont use it

- unsub from or suspend your ilug membership.

If you dont, I (and potentially others) will devnull your mail
because of a dumb OOO.

In the meantime, in the case of Exchange's dumb OOO handling, report
the damn bug to your IT or MS if you are to have _any_ hope of this
being fixed in the future.

"Exchange's OOO facility replies to _all_ email received. It should
try distinguish auto-generated or list email and not reply to those."

I get enough crud to my mailbox every day, i'm not going to filter
OOOs themselves (because i _do_ want to see them, they are useful IFF
i sent the person concerned an email directly), so instead i'll
filter out known send-OOO-to-list-system using people.
