[ILUG] Do dependancy errors come up a lot?

Your preferred distribution should come with package-acquisition tools
to handle dependencies automatically (or at least somewhat so).  On
Fedora and RH9, the preferred tool would be "yum" (but you'd have to
retrofit that to RH9).  On Linux-Mandrake, it's urpmi.  On Debian and
related distributions, you would use apt-get and compatible front-end
tools for it such as "aptitude".

Use of those tools makes it unnecessary to go hunt down secondary
packages, rendering task like adding Balsa a lot easier.
