Not sure where that person got 2 months from, I believe the fedora
people will be trying to get a release every 6 months or so.
Which I would prefear to RHEL/debian where the stable branch can lag
18+ months behind current trends, at least with debian, testing is
pretty stable...

Havn't had much time to look into Fedora, stuck it on the laptop
and it works...

Unlikely...

It could be an option considering most of our admins are actually
more familar with FreeBSD...
Unfortunately we use a number of big expensive commercial Linux
applications...

This is possibly the likely road that we will take... 
That is, once we can find some time to learn "the debian way(tm)"...
