Recently, the sales literature has become a little more subtle on that
point.  Sometimes, it includes neither chipset names (e.g., HCF, HSF)
nor the giveaway term "controllerless", but babbles on happily about how
advanced the included DSP (digital signal processor) chip is.  In all
cases I've seen, such advertising happytalk indicates a winmodem.
