It was indeed interesting and well written but a little accuracy would have
been nice too. It said at one point

]Local government computer systems in Munich tested the Linux technology for
]over a year before making the decision. The migration officially took place
]last Thursday, with 14,000 desktops permanently migrating to the open-source
]platform.

What happened last Thursday (I thought it was further back, but whenever) was
that Munich City Council decided, based on the results of a pilot, to go ahead
with the complete migration. This is not quite "14,000 desktops permanently
migrating" but rather a decision that they will do so.

Is research no longer an activity undertaken by journalists?
