Your right, and I'm sorry. I was just having a mind funk at the weekend when
I wrote the original message. A better header would have been "Is linux
moving in the wrong direction" or "Is all the corporate sponsership really
good for linux"
No actually, I cant think of any good header that isnt flamebait. perhaps I
shouldnt have sent it. hindsight is always a wee bit better. But I truely
felt at the time that the direction linux was moving in was away from its
'open' history and towards a more 'closed' one (not moving away from the gpl
which it cant). just more of a model of, you can get the source but you have
to pay me first.
Either way, I was wrong, I just saw a couple of small items and made a major
deduction from it.
And there are no windows user groups :-)
