If you're using Fedora Core 2, install Dag's apt-get:

http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/freshrpms/pub/dag/fedora/2/en/i386/RPMS.dag/apt-0.5.15cnc6-3.1.fc2.dag.i386.rpm

and type:

 	apt-get update && apt-get install acroread

Feel free to:

 	apt-get install synaptic

for a GUI apt frontend to ease your further install-software-on-linux 
experiences..
