[ILUG] some UI suggestions...?

Hi all,

I want to write an app (frontend actually) capable to convert 
mp3/ogg/mpc->mp3/ogg/mpc. reason: i've got a mp3 player and it has some 
bitrate limitaitons. I'm thinking of something along the lines of "mc", but I 
think it would be useful to create a selection (a la playlist) and then 
convert that... I'm trying to avoid opening dialogs & stuff so the layout I 
came up with is:

file    | playlist | Player   |
chooser | list     | location |

This way, one would select a file/folder which would pop up in the playlist. 
then, upon pressing an "execute" button, files would be magically converted 
and copied onto the player..

My concern is that I'd like to be able to add some options in the playlist re 
conversion criteria for files... (which would result in 
buttons/checkboxes...). Also, the "player" location should be interactive 
(user should be able to delete files..).

everything is "glade"... I'm thinking of python or C# :)
